D'backs fans are a tight-knit group and the thread holding them together in good times and bad is AZ Snakepit. Like the team's new uniforms, this blog sports vibrant new colors and a reliable, lively outlook. The man keeping the ball rolling is Jim Mclennan, an Arizonian who boasts Diamondbacks' license plate number 632 on his family vehicle. Jim entertains avid Arizona fans from all over the world, including Britain, Brazil and Taiwan.

This season, the AL Central is shaping up to be a crazy scramble between four potent teams, not including the Royals. But the fact is, even Kansas City is greatly improved. Keeping fans in the loop over the season's long roller-coaster ride is Let's Go Tribe, a leading Cleveland Indians site. Revamped and upgraded for the new season, Chop-n-Change covers the Braves like "a swarm of gnats on a hot day." So far, Atlanta's newly revamped bullpen has made blogging a lot more fun. Author John Beamer leads the way, happy to report the Braves dramatic come-from-behind win in New York. The victory gave Atlanta a slim lead in the NL East, and as John points out, the team is now "4-2 against the Mets so far this year," and have won both series in the young season.

A team of fine writers follows the Oakland A's at one of the most popular blog sites on the Web, Athletics Nation. Celebrating the team's two-game sweep of the Angels is baseballgirl who applauds the fine mound work of Oakland pitcher Dan Haren. She is joined by regular authors Blez (who posts a great interview today with A's manager Bob Geren), as well as Nico , A's pitcher Brad Ziegler and cartoonist Louis Gray. This is an all-star blogging lineup if we've ever seen one...and A's fans love it. ... (more)

60 years of Jackie Robinson's legend were celebrated Sunday at Dodgers Stadium. The festivities featured his widow, Rachael Robinson, along with first-pitch honors to Hank Aaron and Frank Robinson. Authorship of Blue Notes blog in the LA Times is shared by Andrew and Brian Kamenetzky. Their readers comment on everything about Sunday night's ceremony...and I can tell you that most did not care for the national anthem singer--not a bit.

Red Sox bloggers come in all colors and sizes. This morning, the majority of them took last night's loss to the Mariners in stride. One of the most ardent and honest every day of the week is Red Sox Forever by Peter N. Having no problem recognizing talent, Peter gives credit to Felix Hernandez's very fine pitching performance. He also understands Boston's loss was just one game out of 162, saying, "We'll be fine, just fine." Peter also shares credit with another writer, linking to his favorite sports journalist, Jeff Jacobs of the Hartford Courant.

One of our favorite Mets' blogs never fails to blend humor, satire and insight to create an all-grins read. Today, just like his team, Metstradamus takes on the Phillies and their boastful shortstop, Jimmy Rollins. Did Metstradamus enjoy New York's 11-5 pounding of Philadelphia? Did he appreciate Rollins' error that led to a seven-run inning? Does he imply that the Phils are perhaps as bad as the Nats? The answers are, unequivocally,  yes, yes and yes.

To say that Red Sox fans are abuzz over their new star pitcher from Japan, well, that's just a huge understatement. It's more like a love fest amid a media frenzy wrapped in fanaticism. Leading the way for Boston bloggers is SawxBlog. Author Derek Hixon "has been, and will continue to be, a devoted Red Sox fan from the cradle to the grave". Derek does a nice job putting Dice-K mania in perspective, wondering out loud how Matsuzaka might handle adversity in the future.

Many fans may not be aware that the Brewers could be one of the National League's most improved clubs. Bold, funny, sharp and satirical... those are all adjectives for Archie Bunker's Army, an essential blog for frequent reading if you're a Mets fan. Or even if you're not. Author Jaap Stijl makes it reliably entertaining with superb graphics and a fast-paced, conversational writing style. Today, Mr. Stijl, a Dutch-born, dyed-in-the-wool New Yorker, celebrates his team's '07 opening victory over the Cardinals
