We think lady bloggers do a great job following their chosen teams with style, wit and expertise. Last week's retirement of the Twins' "Batgirl" made us sad, because hers was one of the best blog sites in all of baseball. Well, another site worth noting is Purple Row, a Colorado Rockies site penned faithfully by Rox Girl. These days, she gets a little help with writing from Russ. Right now Russ and Rox Girl are celebrating Colorado's longest win streak in five years. You can count on the Purple Row team to deliver excellent blogging insight spiced with funny photos, a Rox Girl trademark we always look forward to. ... (more)

One of the most popular Phillies blog sites has an unusual name. We Should Be GM's entertains Phils fans with huge helpings of satire and a host of funny graphics to punctuate the points. So far this season, Philadelphia has given its followers a whole lot to criticize and host GM-Carson weighs in like a champ. Today he takes on manager Charlie Manuel (among others) with "verbal venom" and cartoons in the text underscore his rant. Even so, tonight the team has a legitimate chance to edge above .500 ball for the first time in '07. ... (more)

L.A.'s arch rivals met over the weekend and the crew from Anaheim prevailed by a mile. Yes, the Angels had the boys in blue seeing red over the course of a three-game sweep. The fact is, the Dodgers could muster very little offense against the hometown staff in Angel Stadium. Halos Heaven celebrates today with the introduction of tee shirts for fans of the site to collect and wear. Cool tee shirts are just the icing on the cake at this versatile blog site that covers the Angels like a warm blanket on a frosty winter morn. The MC of the proceedings is Rev Halofan, the Angels' ultimate fan and cheerleader. ... (more)

Whether fans regularly attend games at Shea Stadium, or follow their Mets from afar, Amazin' Avenue gives them a daily serving of tasty stats and commentary--all with a classic New York attitude. Author Eric Simon puts a lively spin on every post, tracking the Mets' onfield adventures with game graphs and opinion. Yes, he can be critical of the team's pitching, even though the staff leads the majors with a 2.90 ERA. But as one of baseball's leading bloggers, that's his job.

Pinstripe Alley leads a host of blog sites with their sights set on baseball's most legendary franchise, the New York Yankees. The buzz Monday in the world of major league blogging is the return of Roger Clemens to pinstripes. Today, blogger anaconda takes readers through the story of how The Rocket was re-signed. However you look at it, this is big news for baseball, and in just a few weeks, Mr. Clemens should have a major impact on the American League, and more pointedly, the AL East.

Tampa Bay has never finished better than fourth in the AL East since the team's inception in 1998. But rest assured the team is number one with Rays' fans...and there are more of them than you might suspect. DRays Bay is where they swim in the current of Tampa Bay news and blog posts. With so many good young players, the Rays future looks bright. Can Tampa Bay break through with a winning season in '07? To say that Kansas City baseball fans have had tough times in recent years is a huge understatement. The Royals have lost 100+ games the past three seasons, and have not made the playoffs in over 20 years. To top it off, they play in the AL Central, perhaps the premier division in baseball. Yet the bloggers and fans of Royals Review know the team is fairly loaded with young talent. Primary author Will McDonald, an English major in college, keeps the faith while keeping fans up to date with the very latest Royals' news. If you follow the AL Central, keep Royals Review on your blog list. ... (more)
