As baseball fans know, Red Sox Nation is one the most fanatic, faithful and fiery groups on the planet. That means you can choose from a host of blog sites who follow Boston's every move. A destination we love to visit daily is Red Sox Forever by Peter N. You can count on Peter to give you the true gen without the spin, hype and attitude served up by so many sites. Peter is loyal to the Sox, sure, but he can be critical of the players, front office and even game-day weather if need be. If you follow the AL East, tune in to Peter's Red Sox Forever often.

The D'Backs are a young team loaded with talent and that talent has staked Arizona to a convincing lead in the NL West. Following the Snakes to the top with wit and insight is AZ Snakepit blog master, Jim McLennan.
You can trust Jim to be honest--even if it hurts. Now that the team is winning and has captured first place, Jim explores the topic of light attendance at Chase Field. Will the Diamondbacks run away with the division? If they do, will fans show up in bigger numbers to root for their home team? For answers to these questions and more, stay tuned to AZ Snakepit for the best blogging coverage in the West. ... (more)

The last time Purple Row appeared here, Colorado had won seven straight but the team was still several games under .500 baseball. But the young Rockies are improving and now that it's August, the lads who call Coors Field home have a legitimate shot at the playoffs. That gives lady blogger Rox Girl and all her fans something to cheer about every day. We say look out for the Rockies...they're youthful but rapidly gaining confidence in their push to postseason play. ... (more)

Don't look now, but thanks to a sweep of their crosstown rivals, the Chicago Cubs have slipped into second place in the NL Central. The team could be jelling under new skipper Lou Piniella, and might just give the hot Brewers a run for their money the rest of the way. Bleed Cubbie Blue is a fact-packed blog site hosted by Cubs' super fan, Al Yellon. Al and his legion of Cubs fans keep things lively while they "keep hope alive" for a return to the World Series. If you follow the NL Central, a jog by Bleed Cubbie Blue is mandatory.... (more)
